Here they are folks! "Throw Down", "Spring a Leak" and "Wings of a Dove" are now remastered with better sound, bonus tracks and great new packaging. You can get them first by ordering directly from our website: www.wilderscountry.com. I am currently having them added to our site and the price will be going up to $16.00 each. But, the upload hasn't happened yet, so if you want to save a buck, click on "Goods" and put down your cash money. All orders taken on our site from now on will be filled with the reissued cd's.
There was a video floating around a while back in which a cat was batting at something that was attached to the blade of a ceiling fan. Somehow the cat got his claws caught, was swung around in a large circle about 3 times, then came loose and bounced off a wall. I certainly hope the cat wasn't hurt, and knowing how tough cats are I doubt he was. I found it extremely funny.
ReplyDeleteGotcha updated Vieta...you will love the DSL.
ReplyDelete"HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY" ALL.
God's speed "Wilder's" as you make your way North...travel safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much for the updates on the Wilder's. It sounds like they just made it in before the storm. Hopefully it will be over by the time they head back to K.C.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your review ddmac. You are a true fan to go out in a blizzard to see them.
Keep us posted Vieta and Sweetpea.
Is anyone else being asked for a user name and password to get on the Wilders website?
ReplyDeleteYou are a poet and didn't know it, LVJ!!
ReplyDeleteShouldn't be to hard to dance like Jed, I think he's dead. Or maybe I'm thinking of some other pseudo-hillbilly.
ReplyDelete"HAPPY GREEN DAY" bloggers!!!
ReplyDelete"May the luck of the Irish be with you."
Where is everyone...are you out there????
ReplyDeleteWhew that's a relief...thought the Purple People Eater had gotten y'all.
ReplyDeleteWoe for the Environment!!!
ReplyDeleteHoney bee die-off is a cyclical thing, there was a bad one in 95-96 and a really bad one in the 1950's. Every time it happens folks get really excited and blame whoever or whatever they are currently inclined to blame for things. I saw honey bees in my yard this morning, and our local bee-keeper dropped off a couple gallons of honey from the hives on our farm last week so it may not be total catastrophe.
ReplyDeleteTo repeat a quote from a previous entry of Vieta's....
ReplyDelete"I wasn't born yesterday. Even if I was, I had all day to look around."
Totally off the subject...but do you think
ReplyDeleteDon Imus should be fired???
I vote NO!!
What do you think???
I agree Peggy, but I think they should crack down on Rap singers and African American comedians too because they use as bad or worse language.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he should have been fired...suspended without pay OK...but not fired.
Hey y'all. We just got back from a fantastic (and very different) four-day tour in Colorado. I'll tell you about it as soon as I get settled.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, I'd like to make a comment of my own...
Long ago, I wrote that I wouldn't censor the comments on this blog, and that remains my position. However, I would ask this question: Is the Wilders blog really the place to discuss political news stuff? There are more appropriate venues for you to voice your opinions.
Something to think about.
Sorry 'bout the Imus chatter BroPhil. You are correct in that I should use my e-mail for this type thing.
ReplyDeleteSorry 'bout that!!
uhhh........alright
ReplyDeleteO.K., no more politics.
ReplyDeleteWe'll all look forward to the news about the Colorado gigs!
Where are the rest of you anonymi?
ReplyDeleteOk, just for the fun of it, I will relate a personal Imus experience. Several years ago, I worked as the technical director at the Gem Theater on 18th and Vine in downtown KC, where I actually hosted a show of Imus in the Morning on stage at the theater.
ReplyDeleteDue to brilliance in scheduling, the show was sandwiched between a gospel show on one day, Imus the next morning and then a huge jazz performance the next. I was looking at working about 30 hours straight. I stayed late cleaning up after the gospel show, went home to sleep a few hours and was back at 3am for the Imus load in. It was a very intense day prepping for his live radio show because it required a lot of lighting for the video element. I worked with his crew focusing lights for hours before Imus finally showed up in his pretentious over-sized cowboy hat. I was beat, and stayed awake by eating Lamar's donut after Lamar's donut and chugging coffee. All I really remember of the experience is that at one point during the show, I had to climb up into the lighting grid to replace a burned out lamp. It was surreal to stand 30 feet above Imus while he ranted on about some nonsense below me. Now a cardinal rule in technical theater, is to be very careful when you are working above people. A careless drop of a wrench can cause a play or show to stop dead in it's tracks.
Let's just say that I thought about it...
More stuff about the band is coming soon, I promise.
You missed a golden opportunity, I'd say!
ReplyDeleteGood one dude!
ReplyDeleteI can't get on here using my Google/Blogger user name. Cool. I can be anynominus. LVJ
ReplyDeleteOK then, I must say, I hope that this goes thru, because I want to write and post instantly when I want to like right now! I think that I have figured out basic 6th grade computer stuff and this will go thru and all my Wilder blogger buddies will have noticed that I haven't been on in a long time. Right?
ReplyDeleteRight.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to entertaining and politickin' "Shut up and play" covers a lot of ground. Speaking only for myself, I know that learning to play a banjo damn sure didn't make me any smarter.
ReplyDeleteWho is going to Knuckleheads on Saturday? Tick? Betty? V? By the way who is anonymous? It is much easier to post being anonymous, I have to create an account every time I get on! SeenYas
ReplyDeletePlease buy your tickets in advance for the Knuckleheads show. It will sell out for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm just making a suggestion...
Anonymous is mysterious!!
ReplyDeleteheh, heh, heh...
ReplyDeleteWon't make it to Knuckleheads LVJ, wish we could though.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it about 60-40 that I will make it to Knuckleheads.
ReplyDeleteWho is this Mister Ious? Hey, Phil is quite correct to say that you should order tickets. I waited until right before the show and couldn't get one. I begged and groveled and couldn't get one. It's easy to be anynominus. LVJ
ReplyDeleteAs it happens, we will actually be in KC this weekend, but aren't going to be able to make it to Knuckleheads. Knock 'em dead, Wilders!
ReplyDelete(guess you'll be able to figure out who "anonymous" is by seeing who isn't there...)
Mister lous is Mrs. lous' husband.
ReplyDeleteGoing down to Knuckleheads,
ReplyDeleteGonna chuckle till I'm dead,
Cause the Wilders will be there
and that makes me feel all square
with myself
and maybe nature
and whatever
Hope to see you there
Alrightee then.
Hey Mister E. Uss, I would like to say that the Wilders show at Knuckleheads was a complete success! Liquor and Beer flowed freely and a good time was had by all. Mister Tick was there and he and a whole lot a people danced up a storm. The Wilders took a short 10 minute break and came back with a drummer. Too much fun. The Arkamo Rangers are a delightful band that kicks up their heels and never slows down. Maybe that is why the Wilders like em. Tammy was there with her husband. Hank from Lonesome Hank and the Heartaches was there. This is the latest I have gotten out of bed in a long time. The day is half over, it's almost time for a nap. The Wilders will knock em dead in Europe. Your Faithful Reporter - Pair of Docile A. Nomm A. Lee. (Paradoxal Anamoly)Where is spell check when you need it?
ReplyDeleteAs we were actually in KC last night, I thought about calling Knuckleheads to hear The Wilders in the background on the phone. Didn't get to, but I could feel the energy all over the city!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blog, and thanks for the report, "P.A."!
Hey, is 80 our new "comment" limit???
