  4. A GREAT show at Lawrence last evening filled with Christmas songs and Christmas carols.
The Midday Ramblers, Drakkar Sauna, Dirty Blues Santa, and the Wilder's were strutting their stuff!!! Tickmeister was the MC, and he had his feet flying dancing on stage with the bands.

Howard Iceberg songwriter and musician was a special guest.

A fun part of the show was several young kids being invited to come on stage to sing along on the Charlie Brown Christmas song.

Kim did a great job again this year as stage manager.

As an encore bands came into the audience to sing "Silent Night."
The audience, who had been quite loud and active all evening, got very very quiet...it gave me goosebumps!!

"Thanks" to everyone in the Holiday Hoedown for a fantastic show.

Oh yes, now that's an outfit, Ike!!

    Merry Christmas..Happy New Year

  5. Betty, excellent run down. I got there a little late and sat in the upper balconey. Big crowd, way bigger than last year. Jake had to be at work by 11:30, and since the show ended at 10:30, and it took 45minutes to make it to his house, and then 30 minutes to work he didn't make it on time. Fortunately he was covered. So I didn't get to hang out and try to see everybody after the show. I did get to talk to Phil and Ike at the intermission. Jake took some pictures, only a few turned out any good, I will try to get to Phil pretty soon. Jake and I recorded the show, we missed the first couple of songs, the sound way back in the balcony wasn't too whoopy. Jake will download one of these days and if it is any good, I will get to Phil and any bloogers (that rhymes with boogers) who want it.

  6. LVJ,

We were in the first section of the balcony. We like it better than sitting on the floor where it is so loud with folks standing, dancing, and talking. We were a bit later too, because we couldn't find a parking.
